Unique Levels of Insight and Experience In Appellate Law
I am attorney Catherine “Cat” Clark, and my significant experience in the appellate courts in the state of Washington includes over 37 appeals (and counting) during my career. At my firm, The Law Office of Catherine C. Clark, PLLC, I also maintain a full practice at the trial court level, including motions practice and trial work. As few appellate attorneys have any trial experience, my practice gives me a unique level of expertise and insight.
Handling A Wide Variety Of Commercial And Civil Rights Appeals
I handle a wide variety of cases on appeal, including those involving:
- Civil rights
- Real estate
- Commercial litigation
- Test cases
Most people believe that an appeal against a government agency is impossible – essentially, that “you can’t fight City Hall.” But an appellate attorney with my level of experience, acumen and ability can make all the difference. Working with me gives you the best possible chance of overturning a verdict or court ruling and getting another shot at justice.
My appearances in the appellate courts in the state of Washington include the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 9th Circuit, the Washington State Supreme Court and the Washington Court of Appeals. I also served as a law clerk for the Washington State Supreme Court for the Hon. Robert F. Brachtenbach from 1991 to 1992. In 2014, after an application and vetting process, I was admitted to the Washington Appellate Lawyers Association, a specialty bar association in Washington state.
Why You Need An Appellate Lawyer
When an appeal is necessary, it is not something you should try to take on yourself. The process is complex and often involves highly technical interpretations of the law. Mistakes in court filings can get your appeal dismissed, no matter how strong of a case you have. Instead, take advantage of my extensive knowledge and aggressive pursuit of your best interests.
