My Professional Bio

CATHERINE C. CLARK practices in civil litigation, real estate and eminent domain at both the trial and appellate court level, and also brings her experience and unique perspectives to her arbitration and mediation services.

A former law clerk for the Honorable Robert F. Brachtenbach (retired) of the Washington Supreme Court, Ms. Clark also served as claims counsel for a national title insurer in the Pacific Northwest. She is the responsible attorney for several appellate decisions on real estate and has been lead counsel in high-profile cases involving eminent domain issues. She received her BA in History and Political Science from the University of Washington, where she also achieved academic honors, a Varsity Letter and Athletic Scholarship while participating on the swimming team. Ms. Clark received her JD from Gonzaga University School of Law where she was a member of the Law Review and the Moot Court Council. A frequent speaker at seminars, Ms. Clark was honored by the Washington State Bar Association “Best of” for 2006 for her presentation on “The Law of Adjoining Property Owners” and has received the Rising Star in Washington Law Award and Super Lawyers honors. Ms. Clark is also AV Rated from Martindale-Hubbell.

In addition to her full practice at the trial court level, Ms. Clark has been a member of the Washington Appellate Lawyers Association since 2014. Her appearances in the appellate courts in the State of Washington include the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, the Washington State Supreme Court, and the Washington Court of Appeals. She has served as a court-appointed arbitrator for the King County Superior Court since 1999, and has presided over a number of real estate, contract, construction, and tort cases. She has also served as a mediator focusing on real estate matters, using her knowledge and experience to help the parties in a dispute come to a mutually agreeable solution.
